Potty Training

Okay so I have been potty training Danielle for a while off and on. She has now got to the point she takes off her diaper and says "no mommy I want panties." I will put her in panties and watch her and take her to the potty but it never fails she will walk away and then go and say I have to go. Its so hard for me not to get upset cause I have to clean her and my carpet. I just dont know what to do to help her. Her doctor tells me to be patient cause she is still early for her to be potty trained. She is now 2 yrs and 3 months. Marissa didnt do it till she was 3 so I am unsure what to do.....Any good tricks to help her? I already tried telling her that if she does it we will reward her with an outing or gift. HELP!!!

  1. I started potty training AJ just before his 2nd bday. I never used pull ups and kept the potty in front of the TV and sat him there until he went. I would let him up to play for a while (maybe 15min.)then sit him back on the potty. After doing this for a week straight he was potty trained. I bought the potty that played music if he went I would hear the music, he would get up, get a animal cracker and hear lots of praise. The video he liked watching was the Elmo Potty Training DVD. Good Luck!

  2. I did exactly what Karen said. I never had Abbey in pull up's and I put the chair infront of the tv. I didn't pressure her, but I reminded her what the potty chair was for, and if she went pee or poop she would get a treat.Abbey was really easy and was potty trained before age 2. But Jaden on the other hand is 2 and doesn't want anything to do with the toilet and screams and runs if we put him on it.
